Tamaro Beach Resort - Hikkaduwa

My recent stay at the Tamaro Beach Resort was absolutely perfect. The owner of this lovely hotel went above and beyond to help us during a medical emergency, driving us to the hospital and being there for us. The hotel itself is cozy and comfortable, with an amazing view of the ocean. The sound of the waves crashing at night was so soothing. The location is ideal, situated directly on the beach with free sunbeds and tables. It's just a short stroll to the restaurants and stores nearby. The hosts were amazing, friendly, and offered a lot of help. The food was also excellent. Highly recommended!

If you choose the fan-cooled twin room, you'll be treated to a breathtaking view of the sea from your balcony. The double rooms feature a private entrance, giving you a sense of exclusivity and privacy. The tile/marble floors and seating areas in the rooms add a touch of elegance and comfort. Some rooms even offer stunning views of the sea or city, allowing you to indulge in the beauty of Hikkaduwa. For those who prefer air conditioning, there are double rooms available with this feature. All rooms come with a private bathroom, ensuring convenience and privacy during your stay.

Personally, I found one feature less enjoyable - the air conditioning.

Mind-blowing hospitality from the amazing family who warmly welcomed us and made our stay a breeze. Peaceful and quiet with stunning beachfront views. The non-ac room was comfortable with the sound of crashing waves making it even more satisfying. Beachside breakfast, hot water, and an outdoor shower were excellent. Scooter rental available to explore nearby areas. Beach access with free sunbeds and tables. Friendly and attentive staff, immaculately clean guest house with spacious rooms. Good wifi signal. The owner provided affordable taxi service. Highly recommended. Thank you!

They had free WiFi, which was great because I could update my Instagram with beach selfies. The 24-hour front desk was helpful when I needed someone to bring me more towels. And the private beach area was perfect for avoiding the commoners.
